Julian Beever, an Artist 2.0
As often happens, I discovered by pure chance, browsing for the U and b, the works of a modern artist, Julian Beever.
This is one of the leading exponents of the so-called 3D sidewalk art (literally three-dimensional art from the sidewalk) and even though many probably his name and his face does not say anything, see his picture is worth the penalty.
Someone described him as a Madonnari, but in his case this term is extremely simplistic. I side by side, rather, to the likes of Piero della Francesca, Andrea Pozzo and Hans Holbein!
The work of these artists is characterized by the use of perspective, which, combined with a careful study of light and shade, and produces a spectacular three-dimensional trompe-l'oeil effect.
Similarly, the drawings of Julian Beever are characterized by a particular technique that is based on 'anamorphic, an optical effect where an image is projected on a plan so that it is perfectly recognizable only from a particular point of view .
To realize what I mean, look at this picture ...

What the picture shows on the sidewalk? It seems a long and colorful circle at random. ![]()
Look hours on this photo, which depicts the same design, but seen from another angle.

E 'or not is a show? ![]()
And that's what inspired me to write this post:
If you like the drawings of Julian Beever and want to go into that, here are some links below:
